Changing Hormones Can Affect Your Workouts
We often think about our muscles' straining and our breathing when exercising. But what we don't usually consider is how our bodies' underlying mechanisms assist us. While we can't see it, our bodies support us by firing innumerable chemical reactions, including hormones. Even though they aren't as visible as muscles, one's ability to exercise can be significantly impacted when these hormones are affected. This is especially true for women, who often undergo hormone fluctuations as a part of their bodies' natural functions.
Let’s Look into the ‘Food as Medicine’ Trend
Did you know that your gut is constantly talking to your brain? Just think of how many times you've relied on the so-called 'gut feeling' before making a life-changing decision. Does the gut own the gift of foresight, telling us which road to take when at a crossroad?

Why Taking a Mental Health Day Is so Important
Our lives can get quite stressful from time to time, which is why it is essential to remind ourselves to take a break. Our work lives can drain our entire energy and lead to serious mental health problems like burnouts and anxiety issues. When you are starting to feel the stress taking its toll on your mind, it's time for a break.
What You Eat May Improve Your Mental Health
Some people may wonder if what they eat affects their mental health. The answer is yes – the foods we eat can positively or negatively impact our mental health. It is easy to forget food can be eaten for enjoyment rather than just weight loss. We often forget to include food for mental health.
Most Women Suffering from Postpartum Depression Do Not Receive Adequate Care
Significant life changes can cause increased mental health struggles. Switching jobs, moving across the country, the death of a loved one or ending a long-term relationship are all changes that can prompt periods of depression. Childbirth, a tremendous change in the life of a mother, is no exception.
Which Antidepressants Cause the Fewest Sexual Side Effects?
Antidepressants are typically an effective way for depression to ameliorate. However, while they can help someone return to a sense of normalcy, antidepressants can interfere with one's ability to perform intimately. But that doesn't mean you have to stop taking antidepressants or that there aren't options. Instead, there's still a good chance of balancing antidepressants with your sex life.
Why Men Are 3 Times More Likely to Commit Suicide Than Women
Suicide is a subject that puzzles many of us, motivates researchers and directs the development of many medical strategies and treatments. The motives behind such behavior are not usually visible, or they might even seem incomprehensible to those left behind. Suicide rates vary according to age and gender: women attempt suicide three times more than men, yet men end their lives three times more than women.
Pets Can Improve Your Mental Health
Pets are an integral part of our lives. The joy they bring to everyday activities is infectious. With almost 40% of U.S. households having dogs and just over 25% owning cats, this feeling of joy is experienced by about 70 million households across the country.
But if you had to put your finger on how exactly pets improve our lives, what would you say?

Derek graduated from Patrick Henry College in 2009 with a classical education and degree in political science. After working with government programs, including White House initiatives, and working with non-profit government watchdog groups and big names like Star Parker, he concluded that he could bring even more value to these initiatives and groups if he helped them work on their storytelling.
More than 10-years later, Derek has worked with big brands and initiatives, like serving as Robb White’s chief marketing officer to convert his Robb Report business principles from magazine to digital catalogs and online market reach and expansion. He’s also worked with Tony Robbins’ own coach and helped launch business-to-business as well as business-to-consumer initiatives with Top Doctor Magazine. He actively serves on the advisory board to Speaking Empire which has trained prodigious entrepreneurs like Russell Brunson for the past 10+ years. He continues to bring value to non-profit organizations like Love of Gray that has seen a strong boost during the COVID-19 pandemic in connecting the younger generation with the elderly, bringing awareness and love and service to their doorsteps. Most recently, he’s worked on initiatives with Danny Bauer and Better Leaders and Better Schools to help school teachers, administrators, and principals navigate the tricky waters of reopening education in the U.S. and abroad for Fall 2020.
Honestly, the best way to tell any story is through positioning, branding, and storytelling and the best way to tell stories is through video. Derek attributes much of the success of the brands he serves to simple, powerful, consistent, and visually compelling messaging. Working with cutting edge technology tools like Virtual Reality videography as well as traditional video production helps craft stories that sell because they communicate.
